Streetpilot iii problem

I have just reloaded my mapsource onto my replaced pc. I have registered the unlock code but when I load the maps onto the data card and then put into the gps, turn it on, it comes up with the message loaded maps are locked...! There is also a small box at the bottom which states " can't unlock maps".

I have checked that the mapsource maps are unlocked and they are.

I have also wiped the cards of any previous data.

Any advice??

Tried connecting the GPS to the PC and downloading some routes / waypoints?

Maybe the PC / GPS / Mapsource need to know each others unlock codes for the GPS to read the map data that's come from the PC

Sounds like very much like the 25 character code you have put in to Mapsource to unlock the mapping is the wrong one for the intened device.

Log on to ‘My Garmin’ on Garmin.com, any unlock you have generated with Garmin should be listed there.
