Started 2 days aggo , stripped the beemer due to her coming up to 156,000 miles !, new wheel bearings trans fluids , final drive fluids , engine oil , etc etc , ordered new tyres from robbin B?>@~@ds , Bust"rs , long story cheap as hell but just hasstle .

Started the rebuild last night with some new bar risers , up and back an inch
I woke this morning to a shiny new pair or rear tyres !!!!!!! 2 f'in rears !!! anyhoo , went to get it changed then back to cupids to finish off the tyre changin, relatively easy specially when cupid is incharge of the lube lol..

The beemer has external spokes so there are no inertubes ... some pros . some cons . one being hard to get on the rim .. jase reminded me of the icelandic truckers putting their tyres back on the rim usung lighterfluid and a match ,, and so after much sweating and swearing i decided to give the technique a go , bang , feck , the tyre jumped off the floor bout 3 ft , so did I .Wohoow tyres sorted .

Back to the build wheels on , abs system back in , clean out fuel tank was half full of water debris and general gunk, replace internal fuel filter , replace screen ,remove the peg rubbers ( more grip on the boots).

Went for a spin once she was up and running .
Once id been out on her for a few hours id remembered i was half way thru sorting my new homemade screen , so as soon as i got home i started hacking at the perspex lol . results are as below ( thanks again to cupid , he gave me the gps/camera mount that i bolted the screento )

Sorry for the poor quality pix need a new camera

Hi Nokia. Top fellas those two.Made me feel very welcome when I met them recently and obviously great mates to help with the rebuild. Give Mike at Cardiff Motorrad a phone call for well priced tyres- he even fits them! Not quite as exciting as the Icelandic way though.

:eek:i think he will be hard pressed to beat £125 for a pair of tkc80's

got some time off during the week over the next fortnight , if your out and about drop us a pm if you fancy a spin .
