I'm about to offer my '04 Adventure for sale and am wondering whether it's best to sell the bike with it's many extras, or should I strip the extras and sell those separately?

The extras cost £2,500, including Jesse panniers, Corbin heated seat, BTRB lights etc, etc.

Everything is in excellent condition as the bike has only done 6,000 miles.

I intend to put the bike in the GS 'For Sale' section in the very near future, like today/tomorrow.

Any idea whether Bke Trader is preferred to MCN?

And the vultures swoop...

Fib Dibbs on the etc please. I've been looking for one, what colour is it?

Before the thread gets totally high jacked, I think the common wisdom is that the best price is usually achieved through selling the bike near standard and selling off all the bits separately..

Thanks Jimbo, was looking for that answer.

:-)

Seems to be the opinion of the majority of 1.

Hi Rollo, I'd also split the bits off, but make sure the bike sells first...if it does'nt and you keep the bike, you'll have to buy the bits again

For what it's worth I advertised my cb1300 in mcn last week, (after selling accessories) 1 yr old saving 2.5k on new..not one phone call :( . Think I would / will try Biketrader next..
p.s. hows the mp? :thumb

I'd agree as well, see how much extra a dealer will give for an "improved" bike over a standard one ;)

BTW if you've got any of the TT etc side panels that go below the seat, I'd be interested :thumb

Thats the most blatant creeping I've seen for a long while. Now you're in Rollo's good books I suppose you will be getting first refusal on the goodies?...Top man :thumb :D

EDITED:

:nono :nono Rollo me old fruit, sorry, but with that many posts under you rbelt I'd guess thatyou know you can't sell stuff here without being a sponsor....... :nono :nono

I think the reaction from the vultures should prove to you that it's worth doing, and it helps keep us all in Tosserdom by paying for the bandwidth and server space that we use up ;)

Keep an eye out in FS&W chaps..I'm sure Rollo will be turning up there pretty soon :thumb
