Hope the back's improved

Thanks again

Pete,
No hurry for me as I will not be back in the UK until the end of Aug. So, if you plan to make more later and someone is desperate; no problem.

Off to Kuwait this weekend for a nice hot and sunny ride. :Motomartin
Hydrator is in the fridge cooling.

I will have a jaunt up to the Iraqi border and wave the yanks goodbye as they ship out. Maybe pick up a few :mcgun if cheap enough. It would look the biz on the GS.

I just hate hearing of people off to places I want to ride too. Feeling very green. Have fun.

I'l still get the stubby to asap as these are the last two I'M doing.

Pete

PS what route are you rideing? I've been thinking of rideing to Saudi myself.

Pete,
Nothing special as I work over here on the east coast; right on the Persian Gulf, in fact many times on it on an oil platform (where d'you think yer petrol comes from :comfort.

To Q8:
Up the highway north to Khafji, across the border into Kuwait and along the Highway 40 / 30 to Kuwait City. An approximate distance of 350kms. They have a BMW shop here.
I declined the offer a few years ago to buy two 80GS PD's left abandoned after the first Gulf War. Most of the rubber had perished and some parts missing but, would have been a good project, still:tears.

Quite a few expats and locals ride here but, there is no etiquette on the roads. Fuel is bloody cheap but, that is the only thing.

Saudi is like the states, big with long straight highways with towns 100's kms apart. East side and central is mainly flat and arid while the west is lush and rocky.

stubby

after reading about this "stubby" phenomena? i went ahead and did one myself, ....off to a friendly local scrapyard armed with a hacksaw and took the tailpiece off a corsa or small citroen i think, anyway, i'd made sure of the diameter and it fits great, sounds fab, goes at least as good as the"y" piece/remus combo, and looks awesome! plus i can now fit a full size pannier!!

Two more gone off today one more to do, then you will all have to cut up old car exhausts:)
