Doing 4 night shifts over the bank holiday and cant be arsed to keep trapsing back to Norfolk.
1 night finished and todays a sleep day but anybody got any suggestions for something to do on the GS around the High Wycombe area for tomorrow [24.04.11]?
Somewhere interesting to go, a good road to ride or a decent Cafe for a big breakfast, all ideas considered.

West Wycombe's very picture-sque but not much of a ride out there.

A ride out to the H Cafe in Berinsfield will satisfy the stomach and the parts of South Oxfordshire you'll travel through are lovely.

Hi SCP,

Here's a route I devised for a ride-out in the Chiltern Hills. As you can see from the numbering, it started from Charlbury north-west of Oxford but you can pick it up at number 18, obviously. :)

The route is about 100 miles using small back roads and country lanes (e.g. south of Bicester it's not the A41 but a single track branching off at the first junction after the roundabout to Wendlebury).

For breakfast I would recommend West Wycombe Garden Centre, they serve very nice food in a picturesque setting - and then you will ride through historic villages with lovely pubs and cafés all the time.

Enjoy your day! :thumb2

Hopoefully if its quiet on tonights shift I'll get a chance to plot the route in my 660.
Cheers.

Sounds a bit like a ride out? Anyone welcome? Are you talking today? In which case I've missed it, or tomorrow (Monday)?

If it's tomorrow, I'd like to tag along.

That route is nice, and you can also head off to Kirtlington from the A41 (across the bridge that crosses the A41 when you head towards the motorway)
