Sudden Power Surge

Hi Folks

I'd like to pick your brains. I've just returned from a trip to Devon and for the most part my 2003 R1150GS performed as well as expected. However, on maybe two or three occasions it gave me some cause for concern. The circumstances are as follows:- I'd be closing the throttle in anticipation of an approaching bend (or other hazard) and as expected the revs/power would drop but then all of a sudden there'd be a very brief power surge again which would last a fraction of a second. Needless to say there would also be the additional side effect of causing my heart to skip a beat or two. Anybody else experienced this? Any thoughts on the cause?

Regards.

Are you sure your throttle cable is seated correctly ? this sounds reminsicent of the dreaded unseated throttle cable which hides behind the right throttle body. Could be something there worth checking.
Someone will be along to post the famous picture in a amoment I expect

Bad throttle control ( you did ask). :augie :hide

The fuel is shut off when the throttle is shut above 2000 revs, and when the revs drop to 2000 it refuels again as normal.
