Massive thank you to everyone who attended. Without all you coming it would not have been the great event it was.
Big thanks to all who arrived early and did so much work to sort out tables, chairs and shelters etc. All these things take time and effort and unfortunately I was not at full strength so I greatly appreciated the help.
Thursday saw the medieval festival at Monflanquin. Oddjob captured some great photos of us in full costume.
Friday we rode to the night event at Beauville where the organiser had reserved VIP parking for all 16 bikes. Fantastic evening of great food with a brilliant rock band playing.
My good friend Rob led a spirited ride out on Saturday on his 1200gsa. He might be in his late 70's but not many people can keep up. He did used to race internationally and has competed at IoM on old British bikes. Next year I'll make him ride his old Enfield to give us all a chance
Saturday night was the main event as we were joined by local friends and neighbours. Our chef Sumprat was chained into the bbq area and cooked for hours to feed everyone. All food expertly cooked and nobody went hungary.
Lots of fun was had in our large swimming pool in superb weather.
And we got some of the toys out to play. I said the trials bikes could be ridden but I was a bit surprised when I suddenly saw my newly rebuilt XL250S being wheelied across the lawn. Not to be outdone, I fired up the Polaris to demo two wheel riding. Even the young girls had a blast on the quad but I did get a bit nervous when they blasted around the field.
All in all a really great crowd of friends old and new. I especially loved that people came with their partners and teenage kids. It made it a very happy family event.
So we had better do it all again next year on similar dates.
