Following on from Andy Mullin's offer to lead a rideout yesterday, I jumped at the chance
Andy set off from York, with Chris on his 1200GS and Steve on a GSXR 750 and another guy (sorry forgot the name) on a Fazer1000
I met them @ Masham
We were nearly outnumbered on a GS run by a Yamaha and a Suzuki
From there Andy took us up to Leyburn and over Grinton Moor to Reeth and onwards to Tan Hill.
The weather was truly glorious
After a quick drink at Tan Hill, we dropped down to Thwaite for lunch @ the Kearton Inn - which was very good
After refuelling at Hawes we were down to Andy, myself and Steve on the GSXR750
I led from there - up over Garsdale Head to Dent
Then to Horton in Ribblesdale/Ingleton and onward to Devil's Bridge.
After an icecream and some ogling of a Triumph Rocket III with a Turbo we headed along the A65 to Clapham and Austwick to Helwith Bridge.
We then proceeded over the fell tops to Arncliffe Cote a simply awesome road which is little used, before coming down Litton Dale and saying our farewells @ Kilnsey Crag
The weather was good, as was the company - respect to Steve on his 20006 GSXR750 for braving GS type roads
Shame it was so short notice and few Yorkshire GS types turned out
Next time I'll give more notice
