Checking out the weather forecast for this weekend, it seems like we won't get rained on. Sure, its a bit chilly this time of year, but you can wrap up against that, so fancy a ride out somewhere.

Suggest meeting 10am for 10.15 set off from Tickled Trout, Preston (M6 J31), up the M6 to North Lancaster.
From there, A683 towards Devils Bridge, but turn onto the A687 towards Ingleton.
From Ingleton to Hawes- Brew and wee stop.
Hawes over Buttertubs pass to Tan Hill Inn- lunch and wee stop.
From Tan Hill down to Brough, to Kirkby Stephen - possible wee stop.
From Kirkby Stephen towards Sedbergh, then on to Devils Bridge, brew and wee stop.
Back down the A683 and back on the M6, hopefully before it gets dark.

Anyone fancy it??

I'd ask Tarry, but he'll no doubt be doing his bloody tyre walls the big nelly :green gri :hide

Love to come and meet some of you guys.

Normally go up to Tan Hill from Settle (as I live there :D ) But :nenau I already have a do organised with the sailing club over in Grange  Can't get out of it as good lady is on the committee :blast

Hope to meet some of you another time :aidan

PS
Nice gated road between Dent and Ingleton (starts not far from crossroads at farm cafe on A65), which also gives a nice ride between Dent, Kirkby Steven and Tan Hill .. If you guys are interested :thumb

Still on for tomorrow, sure it's cold but nothing thermals and heated grips won't sort.

Last roll call?

Great winter weather

Went for a run around on the Guzzi today with Malcolm ( Zapada) on his KTM . It was beautiful, if a bit chilly . Just had to watch the shaded parts of the road which looked slippy in the morning. Frost on the verges and frozen puddles here and there at the side of the road. No heated grips nor h'guards on the Guzzi so fingertips a bit cold after an hr or so but not too bad. Onboard computer had the temp' at 2 when we left not , hovered around 3-4 mostly.

Has some fun using the Senas, great piece of kit.

Went up to the Ponder' , very pretty up there with the blue sky and frost on the ground. Only 2 bikes when we arrived but an hour later there were about 15 or so. Met Jim (Wideparting) out for a spin too.

Should be a good day tomorrow too.

Have fun :thumb

haydw, sorry but I am gonna have to give this one a miss, really wanted to come out and ride tomorrow, too

My 690 is really not right and I've been over at a mates today sorting it and need to finish fixing it Sunday.

Also got a weird wiring loom issue on my 525 EXC, so that also needs looking at so I can commute on the fecker Monday - so that's my Sunday totally gone doing repairs and no riding for me

DEFINITELY up for the next one.

Have a good one.

No probs. Hope you get it fixed. Thermals are at the ready for tomorrow.

And ?

What happened?

Rushy and I had a"little" run as it was bloody cold, especially finger tips.

I owe you a brew Ian.

I think I have done the Tan Hill run early last year with you Hayden. Lambs in the bar by the fire !!

If you do the run again, I will watch out. Good day. Many pee stops if I remember.

Bike now washed down in case salt lurking.

You are right -was bloody cold. Seen as it was only me and Mrs haydw we decided to go not quite as far.Ended up in Settle. The only bikes out yesterday seemed to be BMW'S. I parked next to a 1200 that was just setting off, then a 1150adv parked up.

Finished my lunch and a 2012 S1000RR was parked up so had a nosey around it.Very nice.

Got to devils bridge and for some bizarre reason all my fingers swelled up. My hands were not that cold either.

Will wait for it to warm up a bit and try again, hopefully a few others can tag along.
