Am following closely all the threads on here about this great bike.
I'm not an owner yet, and until I can organise a test ride, am collecting info.
An important feature for me is to be able to comfortably get the bike on to its centre stand.
I tried one in a dealer's today and failed miserably! I've managed bikes as heavy as the S10 before without problem. But not this one.
I'm about 5' 7" and average weight and build. There seemed to be nothing to lift with.
I had no trouble with my 1200GS, although there was something to grab hold of.
How does everybody else get on?
Is there someone out there flogging lifting handles?

I have never had a problem getting mine onto the main stand I'm only 5 foot 6 had trouble with my 1200gs sometimes this seems more balanced

wunderlect

I've got the wunderlect lifting handle on mine - can lift the max weight for my bike fully loaded effortlessly :beerjug:

Pic of it

this handle helps you to lift the bike effortlessly when the bike is fully loaded :thumb2

Not had a problem lifting mine but i am 6' and tossersize, having said that it does feel balanced and not as heavy as my VFR12. one slight crit is the footplate for the centre stand is very high and tight in to the bike so with big boots on sometimes difficult to locate.
Dont even start with the sidestand :D :blast

DavyF, you are quite right, I felt like that yesterday. The only other time I achieved the same result, was with my neighbour's Pan euro- and I wasn't decrepit then. That WAS heavy.
Ta, everybody, when I eventually decide to get one, I'll try and build up my leg muscles!
