On the BMW Club website there is a link [ found it in the Oxford section] to a company in Silverstone who fit some sort of fuel management thingy which is apparently guaranteed to cure surging - cost £176.00 .
Has anyone tried this and does it work or is there a cheaper alternative ?

Alot of people, myself included, have cured the dreaded surge by learning how to balance the throttle bodies correctly. If a good balance fails to deal with the surge perform the 0=0 procedure.

The above would cost the price of a TwinMax which would do you for all future maintance or you could make your own gauge for a fiver.

TFI Box

I fitted the TFI unit and am pleased with the results.

Recommended.

If you are near Silverstone, TTS have a deal on.
£200 fitted and set up on Dyno.

Gerry,
I am taking the bike to be sorted by TTS in a couple of weeks time - was quoted £176.00 [ this includes free labour ] - they said it should take approx one hour to do .
I will let you know how it goes .
