Just to let you all know that they now upply a fuel filler cap adapter for the bags connection range on the 2008GS, I am sure i read somewhere that it was not available yet, but it is.

Roger - is the that the listing for BMW 'without screws' on the Motohause site?

I notice that that connector is £45 (as opposed to the others for the earlier GS at £25 or so) which is significantly more that many other tank bags in and of themselves!!! Wondering if that one requires a modification of the fuel filler too - since there seems no easy way to attach anything to the 08 GS filler mount!

Or did you find a more acceptably priced solution for the 08?
