SW Motech Engine Bars and BMW Alloy Rocker Cover Protectors

I've finally got round to fitting my SW Motech Engine bars (BMW Alloy Rocker Cover Protectors have been fitted from new). The Engine bar is very close to the rear of the rocker protector on the Right-Hand Side, but it touches towards the rear of the Left-Hand Side Rocker Cover Protector . I tried slackening the rocker cover protector, but could not adject it inwards.

Has anyone else found this?

... I've got the BWM alloy covers, but no bars. I'm thinking of adding a set, IIRC the H&B bars will accomodate the covers, but not the S&W.

... Can you swap them back for H&Bs?

... Can anyone confirm if H&Bs will actually clear the alloy head covers?

The RHS clears the alloy cover, and the left 'just' touches it - therefore I think the SW Motech bars are OK with the alloy rocker covers (I can't believe that they would make it so close but withing fractions of a milimetre too close).

I think a simple washer behind the rear mounting (to increase the length of the spacer slightly) would surfice.

Anyone with any more thoughts/experience?

Sumo had the same thing so now has a brand new ser of crash bars for sale .
I think he's saving up for Touratech ones. I 'spose if they never arrive they can't actualy rub!!!

On my privious 05 GS, I had BMW bars fitted, I then atemped to fit TT head guards. The right hand guard fitted well and looked good, the left hand guard did not fit due to the fact the pot is further forward. I even asked Piddcoks to have a go when in for service; no joy and much head scratching!. I meant to contact TT about this, but forgot
I have a GSA now so have ally coloured TT head guards for sale.

I've got the H&B engine bars and the plastic protectors and there is plenty of room.
