SW Motech rear seat plate now fitted

If this is of interest, i ordered the rear seat plate and fitted it today, all went easily enough.

Hi, I drilled and fitted a spare Givi bracket to enable connection of a Givi tankbag. Extra lightweight lockable storage which is easily removable.

Got it on, bit of a faf, you have to remove the whole of the rear seat housing. to bolt the lower plate on.

Therein is the first problem, but i have a cunning plan- the nuts / bolts go where the rubber bungs go on the lower plastic plate-

Tommorow i will epoxy the nuts into place, and make them captive. then its just a matter screwing it into place when i want to use it

Mine on today ,

I modded the lower plate fixings so i can bolt it on and off without having to remove the whole of the sub frame pillion seat everytime you want to use it

Its fairly hefty, and i like the way it covers the rear , on my hexhead it stopped short of the rear light unit
