Hey all, currently have the BMW adventure top box which while smaller than I’m used to is perfectly adequate, however my missus went on the GS for the first time just before the lockdown and comparing it to my old Triumph Explorer she didn’t feel much difference in terms of comfort or ergonomics other than to comment that she felt like she sitting much further forward and I have to admit I felt like she was pressed against me and left me less room to move.

Now, the easy option is to never take her on the back but she loves being on the bike so I was looking at other options.

The MotoPro top box looks like it sits very close to the seat like the BMW one, but the SW Motech TRAX Adventure “seems” like it sits further back. Can anyone confirm and provide some pics please?

Thanks I’m advance!

Hi. this is my Givi Trekker outback 42L if it helps.... with pilion seat on forward position.

This topic has been debated before. But making a long post short, I'll repeat the main point:

By choosing the Givi topbox, being the 42L as in picture above, or even the larger 58L, these boxes ar mounted to a separat holder, fastened to the BMW rack by 4 screws (and 10 min to install or remove) and will set the Givi box further aft than the BMW OEM box by 5 cm.
When riding 2 up I personally find the extra space the 58L offers quite convenient, as riding two up means half the space is available for 4 times the required volume.

More details to be found in numerous threads in this forum.

Thanks for the info, I did search but can’t find a good pic of the SW Motech one specifically fitted to a GSA. The Givi is definitely an option as it’s clear from that pic is airs further back, I just prefer the SW Motech kit :)
