Just fitted this for an upcoming trip to Switzerland and Austria . Very impressed with the quality and fit. :bounce1

I have a set for my 990 adv and am happy with them ,good value.
Did you get the wires to stop them opening onto the hinges? I used strap offcuts and super glued them onto the pins, worked great.

I have a once used set of frames for a 950/990 sm/t which I will be selling.

I'm pleased with them , I thought they were good value too .

I didn't get the wires, I will see how I get on with them first.

Hope you aren't planning any serious off-road with those Trax panniers. The panniers themselves are actually fine, but the poor quality of the frames they attach to practically destroyed Roynie's bike. First the 'quick release' mechanisms gave way in appalling road conditions from Kazakhstan to Usbekistan, then the resulting stresses broke a weld under the bike's original luggage carrier. The break was invisible until the bike had to be stripped down after the subframe sheered, but it was pretty clear that it was the stresses produced by the weight of the (now unstable) luggage that, over a couple of months' fairly rough travelling, caused the bigger issue.

Having said all that, Roynie is still impressed with the panniers themselves and plans to get new frames made by a local metalworker when we get home.

Martin at Winding roads http://www.windingroads.co.uk is the man for sw motech and other top quality riding gear. He's too modest to push his business on this site but has been a member for a long time - joe bar on the site.

Really nice people to deal with

I fitted sw motech frames and rack on my Honda.all very good quality.

I used SW Motech engine bars on my Diversion 900. They fitted well looked understated and any crash loads would go into the engine mounts about the most solid parts of the bike.
I made my own pannier side case frames using 5/8 x 2mm seam welded steel tubes and Givi mounting points
The current owner is still using them.

Could you take another photo of the rear view, I have had trax on my Tiger, and they were brilliant, but stuck out too far on the exhaust side.

Jerks
