Ok so Ive got one for the first time ever, been through switzerland several times in the past and never bothered.

So lets hear your cunning method of displaying these whilst bringing them back to resell after the trip.

Just stick to them twisties and not the Motorway as normal! or are you playing the odds, ie its your turn to get caught.

Have 1 day to do 310 miles from Genoble to Titisee, planned some scenic stuff around annecy/geneva then blast it the rest of the way, getting to the end of our trip so putting a few miles that day to leave the remainder a relaxing bimble to the ferry.

Stick it onto the screen, shows you've taken the bike across to Europe that year, better kudos than most other "stickers" people plaster all over the bike / panniers / top box etc etc.

We've just got back.
Stuck ours onto the black plastic behind the screen with black insulating tape just clipping the edges.
The tape's not noticable at a glance and peels off the vignette without damage.

I dion't get this - in the extremely unlikely event that you are stopped the plod will immediatly spot your subterfuge (not fixing it permanently to the vehicle is the same offence as not having one) and give you fine.

You run the same risk of a fine as not having one, but you've paid for the privilidge

i also wouldnt bother, i live here and dont have one on the bike and have never been stopped. sure it will happen 1 day but then ill pay it.
