System 6 Helmet - price and design changes?

Guys - I'm under pressure! Give me some help!

Someone said prices of the System 6 will go up in the New Year to better align it with the C3. Given this, and with VAT going up on 1st Jan I feel I should pull my finger out and buy before Christmas. However, BMW offer such dreadful colourways on the existing range that I'm wondering if there will be any new options next year?

Can anyone update me on any of the above?!

Helmets are not subject to VAT so the return to 17.5% won't affect the price.

Great! That's one less thing to worry about!

BMW customer services were helpful as usual! Wouldn't confirm price rises (surprise, surprise!) and knew nothing about colours.

NOG and Clarks both offered the view that they expected price increases but have had nothing formally yet. In colourways they thought that as the helmet was so new no changes were likely. Normally, colours would change at most no more than every couple of years.

Can't help much, but similar experience maybe ...... I quite fancy a system 6, but getting info is nigh on impossible. BMW main and dealer websites not much use either. Dealers are not v handy for me and I'm scared of the phone ....... Only useful info I got was on here.

I gather the plain are £325 and the patterned £355 (ish) and that the C3 was much dearer, but that's about as much as I could discern.

If you're right about model change, that should mean that the old version gets sold off cheaper ......... System 5s can certainly be had for about £200 without too much difficulty at the mo'. Doesn't help you if you don't like any of the current colours/designs though ............

Post up here if you find out any more. I'll do the same

do they still have that R1200GS SE ? If so and you saw it, does it have luggage?
