After spending
time in London I can’t imagine why anyone living here would even consider anything other than a scoot.
I’ve managed to dig out a couple of deals and wanted some expert opinions on the subject. First is a brand new T Max (24) with all the goodies for £11k and the 2nd is the Forza for £9,200. Also brand new 24. I’ve ridden both and leaning towards the Honda. The Yamaha is undoubtedly more luxurious and roomier, but I prefer the proper DCT over the rubber band CVT scooter feel. The Honda just feels more like a bike with a proper automatic gearbox.
I’m admittedly quite ignorant on this subject and advice is needed. 👋

Think you’ve hit the nail on the head.

Whichever you choose make sure you secure it. Both prime scally magnets.

I have a mate who bought a new 2024 Forza 750 from Blade Swindon last year

IIRC he paid £10000 for it including fitted Honda heated grips when the RRP was a chunk more

He absolutely loves it and keeps saying that I should try his, yet he never lets me have the keys :duno

Who is the dealer with the new Forza at £9200 ?

For info,

The TMax has just had a light restyle for this year and a couple of minor upgrades

The Forza has had a total relook and some more major updates including to the DCT transmission

Those are both the outgoing models

Yes and the the 2025 Forza has cruise control and electric screen now too for not much more money than the outgoing 2024 model's RRP

1stline in north London. I’ve just bought the black/ gold one, but think they still have blue.
There’s another dealer in Chiswick with old stock too. The heated grips are £200 and the 9kg fanny bag £100. The new one has cruise and electric screen, but they won’t budge off £10,500 🤔

I have had every Mk of the T Max . love them . The new 560 is Fantastic . Had a go on my Bro's 750 Forza and found it not as special as the T Max . They have been building T Max's since about 2001 and they keep getting better except the finish on the swinging arm . They are quick and just so useful . Locking centre stand helps keep scum at bay but use a big lock if leaving it anywhere

Small update for anyone interested, I put a deposit on the black/ gold wheels new 24 model, but now decided on the 25 X ADV instead. Looks like it might be a Swiss army knife and prefer the extra suspension travel and spoke wheels.

just my 2 cents, ive had two xadv and also a loaner forza 750 from 2023 - the tmax is just too dear. end of. they are 17k now in Ireland, forza 750 is around 13800 i think.

and the DCT on the new xadv that they have updated is very very good, and last gen wasnt bad by a long shot.

Agree, it’s hugely overpriced, especially considering it hasn’t really evolved much at all for several years

its a pity, i really wanted one....but the yamaha is way way too dear. id pay 14k for one, but not 17k.

im torn at moment between newer 2025 xadv or C400X C400GT bmw. im gonna throw up a thread.

Just bought a 2024 unregistered TMax for £2k off list as they are awaiting the 2025 models.

I’ve actually seen brand new unregistered 2024 ones for as low as £11k. For me the Honda looks better on paper with the bigger motor and proper gearbox, but it simply can’t make up it’s mind whether it wants to be a scooter or a bike.
The T Max is unapologetically 100% scooter……….and an amazing one at that. For me the Yamaha is still king of the urban jungle 🤔

If you want a Tmax you'll accept its price. The alternative lookalikes aren't 50% cheaper.

The ADV350 I had before was half its price, but not half the bike. But I can afford the Tmax, and it gives me the cruise control, extra power etc that the 350 couldn't.

YMMV.

There's a very nice low mileage TMax 560 going for £8.5-ish at Triumph Woburn if anyone is interested.

I think you have to take a wider point of view. ALL scooters are great, it’s just about which is the better fit for your requirements.
I loved my ADV350, but daren't leave it anywhere as the thieves tried to steal it several times.
I too looked at the bigger scooters before buying the ADV. The little ADV just seemed to be right for me.

Took delivery of my Tmax last Thursday. Rode 370 miles over the weekend to the classic bike show. Really pleased, was a bit nervous that I had made the right decision to sell my RT, but love the Tmax. Got a tail tidy and a hugger ready to fit. Still got an airhead to get my motorcycle fix, so all good
