The A470 was closed today, so I took the backroad through Pontsticill and Talybont as a very enjoyable diversion. The great thing about riding the GS along small roads is that it makes you appreciate things that are missed at A road speeds. I even found time for a wander up the Gap road, on foot with my camera, as it is now closed to motorised vehicles. I think perhaps from now on I will make a point of riding the unclassified and B roads more often, when I am not going anywhere in particular- it just seems to make more sense!

footnote

Apparently the closure of the A470 was due to a collision, but thankfully not fatal. Good weather for the rest of the week, so keep it shiny side up!

I stick to the B roads and smaller as much as possible on the GS.:thumb

Hey up mate, how you keeping? Love that little B road!! Doing it this Saturday as the KTM boys want to see Wales!!! Staying at the Castle Inn, Talgarth, Fri/Sat then out on a 300 miler (that'll teach em for asking me to do a route :D) Mostly B roads.
