Just after some tips or views from the locals ............ In a couple of weeks me and a couple of mates plan on riding up to the Lake district. Cant be doing with that M6 so was looking for a bit of a mooch round. Might have a wander into the Yorkshire Dales on the Way, have picked a route from the Peak district that skirts round Manchester and thought I might like to visit this so called highest pub on the way. Well what you lot reckon? and i know about the ford in Gayle from avin a look at some of the threads in your section so it wont work sending us that way. If its any good might camp there for a night and get on the piss as I love my Ale (noticed something about a barn that can be used to camp out in at this pub). All replies appreciated.

The Old Peculier is the best I've had anywhere.

The pub does B&B or will let you camp (with previous permission) for a coupla quid donation to the Mt rescue..

Just realised that If I stop at the Cat and Fiddle on the way up (or down) and call in the Kirkstone Pass Inn over in the Lake District I could achieve the pinnacle of my Ale swilling career ..... you got it! ......... The three highest pubs in England!
