Tank bag for Hpn 43l tank?

I'm currently looking for a tank bag for this tank. I assumed that either Hpn or Touratech produced one (hence the 4 screw holes in top of the tank - maybe they are there for another reason). Having looked at both websites I'm none the wiser - Hpn do sell a leather tank bag for 275 Euro but it is way too big (and expensive) for my purposes. Something relatively small/ low would be best which is easy to take off the bike - I want it to keep my documents etc in during an overland trip to Nepal and back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Chris

I use TT bag that fits the stock R100GS Tank, Bought a 1mm Stainless plate drilled 4 holes to fix tankbag to the tank. Then use a helmet bag inside the Tbag so I can remove contents of Tbag...:D So pick a Bag you like, drill some holes and go:rob Oh yes you need a petrol breather pipe that comes out of the side of the Petrol cap not the top:mmmm

I have had the TT bag for 5 years now and its still in good shape - worth the money in my case:thumb2

The four screw holes in the HPN tank are for a leather tool roll which folds out.
HPN certainly used to sell one, it was very neat.

Just recently bought an explorer lite from winding roads and its an excellent fit on a humpy enduro style tank.

Sorry to re-open an old thread but I’m looking for a tank bag to fit the 4 holes in the HPN 43 litre tank. The above Touratech link no longer works. Ta.

Ideally after something like this but can’t find it anywhere to buy.

HPN themselves still list a tank bag for this tank, but it is the size of a large rucksack. And good luck getting any response or info out of them, or even an answer to your phone call.

Other than that I think these days you are looking at modifying an aftermarket something or other to fit. I did this exercise about 5 years ago when I was rocking my 43 litre tank, there was nothing out there then so I made a couple of rectangular plates out of ally to fit the hole centres and sandwiched the base of a motocross bag, (the sort that fits over a mudguard), between them and screwed it on. Pretty much looked exactly like the picture you posted.

Buts its long gone now, along with my memory, so thats all I got for yer.

Heh. You dont get links with HPN. Or service. Or help. - you have to do all the legwork- almost exclusively by phone! (welcome to 1980) :D

Thanks for that.

F750GS , that looks good but then how do you mount stuff on it ?

if you call them they sell the tool bag is soft black leather that fits to it via straps you loop through the holes. the website is shite!
