anybody know of the supplier for a decent tank pad/protector im after a plain black rubber one, saw one a few weeks back that fitted the tank a treat just a rectangle basically with angled sides and ridges on for grip, all the other/ universal tank pads/protectors dont suit the gs i dont think, they work well on sports bikes tho.

any help appreciated!

Hve a look on Nippy Normans site. Part number CSS-3040A is two black rubber knee pads and a black rubber tank pad. All your for £24.00.

I have these shortlisted for my R1200GSA which I hope will arrive in two weeks time! If you (any body else) get these, please let us know what you think:thumb2

These are rubbish. whilst the pads themselves do a good job of protecting the tank the sticky pads they supply give way within a couple of weeks.
I m going for a baglux next:)

whats a baglux mate???

You new here? :augie
Baglux is a brand. They make various bits and pieces but I would imagine that they are best known for their tank bags which attach to the tank via a custom made cover which fits around the tank. Do a search. There's loads on here :thumb

sorry dude!!, i know what you mean now:blast, yeah ive only been on here a short while, so still learning!!!:D

I fitted nippy norman pads, they were fine, did the job and are still on the bike,no problems, order a set and you will be fine

Before attaching with the sticky pads make sure the area is free from dust (obvious) but then get an alcohol wipe and clean the area where the pads will make contact.
That should stop them lifting longer term.
