Tank repairs local?

Can anyone recomend a good place local to Wolverhampton/Stafford/Telford to get my dented tank repaired? I figure after 8 months of the GSA it may well be time to get those previous owner dents taken out...


BTW Still looking for a good mechanic with BMW experience in the same area if anyone knows one?

Hi,
live pretty much the same area as you but tother way round Shropshire nearly south staffs!, if u find a good local bmw mechanic for servicing locally ide be realy interested, been using cmc at cannock to date, to be fair they have done a good job but i think the carbs now need balancing?

LOL, nah I gave up with the M4A1 & went for something heavier, a 1150GSA.

BTW can you blow a head gasket on a shermans radial engine? hmmm.

havin been thinking about this church stretton motorcycles always advertises as a bmw service place, always has lots of bmws in but have never used so dont know what they are like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have u thought about putting a baglux tank cover on your tank, i know it is only hiding the dents but it may work out a lot cheaper, ive got one fitted to my bike , cost me £88 brand new from heink gerrick, and i have to say i do prefer it to the standard painted tank, i have a blue/white 1150gs,
just a thought

I did think about doing that, but my tank is getting a bit rusty now where the paint has cracked/scuffed. Thought I might as well just get it fixed. Anyway will pop down to Church Stretton next week & have a look round see what they say regarding a few bits I need doing & get some quotes.

I would rather chew my own foot off before i use them again,now use Pidcocks LongEaton very satisfied.
