Tank top panel fit and gap?

I must admit Fred it does take a fair smack down on the center panel, first time you do it you crap yourself thinking you have snapped everything, 2nd time it feels not so bad..............

Yes - I know what you mean, having broken the odd tab off the plastics on other bikes. With the GS tank cover it's the prising it off which gives me the heebie-jeebies, more so than putting it back, but so far so good. :D Hopefully the plastics can stay on for a while now having completed the latest round of electrical mods for which I needed to run wires from the front to the rear under the tank cover panels.
