Just got a BMW tankbag of ebay. Nice condition and looks a usefull bit of kit, but I have an early 1100GS with plastic tank and it doesn't fit:blast

It looks like he difference could be the bit at the bottom of the tankbag that clips to the botton of the tank (under the seat) and zips onto the tank bag. Anyone know if I can get this piece seperately?

Looks like it may have to go back onto ebay:(

i have a genuine bmw tank bag and it does not fit my plastic tanked 1100gs, plastic tanks are thicker at the bottom edge than steel tanks, so we have both learnt something!!!!!:blast

mine is also the genuin BMW one and its not only the thicker bottom edge thats the problem but it seems to be a liittle longer as the tank bag wont reach the bottom of the tank either(the bit under the seat).

But, the problem bit is the bottome flap of the tankbag which is a small bit that is zipped to the main bag, so I was wondering if it was just the case of getting that bit replaced?

This is mine - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=200239823237&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=010

143quid new from motorworks so was happy with the price and its in good nick. Shame its useless to me:blast

I've just bought one of the bags from www.motohaus.co.uk in the "bags connection" range.

Can swap it between bikes because of the connector and it sits ever so slightly above the tank - fixing on the petrol cap.

Quality appears excellent although at about £140 all in with the fixings as well, it is a bit expensive.
