Hi folks, i am thinking of getting a tankbag and dont know what to go for. The only 2 things i do know is i dont want to pay BMW money for one, and i dont want one that clips onto the fuel tank ring thing. Anyone got any suggestions ?.

I use a Baglux tank bag that fits onto a Baglux tank cover. Bought them from Nippy Normans. The tank cover I leave on all year now as it protects the tank. To refuel, unclip the rear retainers & push forward. Good piece of kit thats pretty waterproof anyway but with the rain cover supplied its billiant. Map holder on the top which you can see with rain cover fitted.

Get yourself on ebay plenty of cheaper bmw bags 4sale ,also their waterproof,constructed well ,and are model specific if thats what your after and will fit properley and you wont have to worry on tour of stopping to put a rain cover on it ,as so many are not waterproof

Check out the Famsa range from Winding Roads. I had one for the K1200S which is by a mile the best bag I've ever owned.

+1........Had one on my old R1200GS....Really great bag.....Sold it here.....No issues......
