hello has anybody tried "Bags Connection tank bag + 12V power socket" I have just seen it on the web and it looks quite good. IT fixes to the tank via a clip unit fixed to the petrol filler screws, it also supplies power to the bag for mp3's ect. Its the SW Motech Quick Lock BMW GS Tank bag 12V

Has any seen/ used them???

JUst bought one. The clip for the bag is not attached and is a real BASTARD to fit, took me hours, bloody fingers and alot of kicking the damn thing around the room.
The bolts they provide are too shorttoo for fitting the bag clip.

I have not used it yet as I have a hankering to stay dry and warm the weather has not been ready for me yet ;)

Got one delivered yesterday, didn't have any problems fitting it but do agree the bolts are a little short, although didn't cause any issues. Was all fitted on the bike quite quickly and looks great.

I bought the ENGAGE bag and fitted it yesterday. No problems with anything at all. All bolts the correct length, pin went right in, no problems. Bag is small enough not to foul the bars, but big enough to hold all my electronics and some additional items.

I bought a dual powerlet outlet and soldered it onto the factory harness vs. purchasing the Bags Connection version as it wasn't a dual powerlet.

I just need to finish wiring all the internals with my GPS and Starcom1 Advance.

I am not sure what the pocket at the front is for though? I think that it could be a cable pass-through, but the pocket doesn't have a hole in it. I may use it as a pass-through, or I might use the powerlet one that I purchased.

Thanks for the help

Advice and photos thanks to one and all!!

I'll put an order in, out of interest did you wire diarestly to the battery top or via the bikes wireing system?

Thanks again,

adam

I am wiring to a Blue Sea fuse block that I have connected directly to the battery without a relay (always hot).

I don't have to deal with CANBUS and would like to have my GPS live when the bike isn't running.

Way easier than mine. :blast The clip was wider than the recess on my bag. It took me ages, I ended up putting my own really long bolts in then cutting them once fitted. I also had problems with the wires, the connections were smaller than the connections on the multi plug do-dah, so I replaced them for bigger ones.

Quick and easy to fit
