Anyone else experiencing trouble getting locks for luggage?

I absolutely love the new ride, but having ordered the locks for my luggage end of April when I got the bike, to be told yesterday, they're out of stock until further notice and likely to be another 3-4 weeks now means I'll be going on a long trip without luggage. Not quite a "Touring Edition" then BMW?

Not a biggie as I don't ride with panniers so will chuck a dry bag on the back, but still, how hard is it to keep a stock of locks!

GS or GSA?

I'm picking my TE GS up on Saturday with Vario's and other farkles and the dealer mailed me just to say it's all done, PDI'd and ready

Hi. Picked my GSA up beginning of May, having ordered in January. Was initially told 3days prior to delivery I'd only get a top box. When I collected it I had both panniers but no top box. I have been promised this will be in stock for first service at end of June.

Similar situation here, new GSA TE 2 weeks ago, luggage and locks both on order with an estimate of 3-6 weeks. Not taking the bike anywhere until July so it's not too annoying, but you would think they'd have got their act together for such a high profile and popular bike.

I'm getting my new GS TE on monday and the panniers are there but no cylinder head guards as they are on back order.

Same over here, my GSA came with panniers but no locks. The bags still latch on ok w/o the locks but I added a zip tie to insure it couldn't unlatch. The dealer finally received locks for my VIN and forwarded them to me only instead of 6 (three per bag) I got 18. :eek So now I have 12 extras. :D

I ordered mine on the 22nd of March, for delivery on the 22nd of April, with full ally panniers.

Bike landed in the country on the 23rd of April, l collected the bike on the 26th of April without the luggage and had to wait 2 weeks for the locks.

I'm due to collect mine at the end of the month and was told locks will be here by then.

If not I will insist they swop the locks over from my K1200 and recode them for free. It will at least give me a locking top box, I can wait on the side cases as no immediate trip planned yet.

Good luck with that the locks are different and won't fit the new luggage.

Fit varios instead of the ally boxes to your GSA, that's what I did, no issues with locks...

It's not ideal, but if I was picking up a new bike, and there were no locks, I'd push my dealer for a free large softbag to use in the meantime.:rob I'd be surprised if they refused.

It's the GSA model and I've only ordered an ally top box, but as previously said, the locks are different on the ally boxes.

Unfortunately, no offer of anything to tide me over, but then it's been mad busy over here (TT), maybe I'll pop up next week and ask them if they can do anything before I have to buy another bag.

Looks like its a common problem. I just can't see why they can't order more, it's not like its a complicated part.

I didn't want to wait and paid a visit to Roger at ARD Cases- measured up, size and colour chosen, pick up in a weeks time. Made in the UK to order, at a more attractive price with great personal service by someone passionate about their product.
