Tear-arsing around Spanish trails with Trailblazers..

One last pic, I call this my "I've had two off's earlier today, broke 2 levers and I'm sweating like a rapist" picture :D

(but check out the view behind, it was stunning).....

Great stuff. Really getting me in the mood for our trip next month.

I notice your bike didnt have hand guards fitted presume your broken clutch and brake would be avoided if they had been fitted ?

Either way I reckon I will carry spares just in case.

If your levers say 'Magura' (as I suspect they do) - you'd better sit down now.

I just priced a pair from KTM this morning - £24.54 for the clutch and £19.20 for the brake!

I had a trawl around eBay and couldn't find anybody offering cheap ones.

Hi bandit,

Yes I'm certain it would have been a lot better with them and no levers would have been broke, but Trailblazers say a lot of customers complain when they supply bikes with handguards on. I have them on my 525 and I've had a few offs on it and all I have ended up with is scuffed guards but no levers broken.

I also had a couple of instances where branches and drooping vegetation smacked my hands, and when you're getting up to a decent speed and it happens, it doesn't half smart a bit :eek

Personal choice for me is to always have guards tbh.

You're gonna have a great time. Fantastic region.

Its even got me planning my next trip. An expensive hobby :D

I am sure I have a load of spare ones kicking around the garage, I am assuming they will be the same as fitted to my old KTM 520 exc. I will check (and do a test fitting !) at the weekend. Also guessing they are interchangeable with the hoosyburg)

I wouldn't bank on it.

There's now a 'Berg dealer in Vélez-Málaga (about 6 miles from Cómpeta by crow) and a KTM dealer between Málaga and Rincón de la Victoria should needs must.

Watch out, we had to grind down the levers in some cases to get them to fit in properly. :eek
