Just got the new R-259 Techlusion gizmo from TTS at Silverstone ( Excellent service - worth giving them a plug! ) and am about to fit the unit.

Questions:

1) Having a peek under the tank on my 2002 Adv with big tank, before I try to remove & rip out something I shouldn't, what is the correct procedure for removal? ( Damn thing is nearly full too! )

2) Notice that a few of you guys have the R-259, can we pool our ideas on the settings? Have you left it as standard? Std or "race" exhausts etc.
Could save me a lot of messing about!

Cheers, Rick.

Being a bit of a clumsy halfwit when it comes to delicate operations such as this, Ishall be getting TTS to fit mine for me as I don't trust myself not to f''''k the whole thing up. When it is done, I shall post the settings onto the forum as there are a few having fitted this marvelous widget are not sure what the settings should be.

Fitted the gizmo yesterday - what a difference!!

It's like a completely different bike, much more responsive, smoother and feels more powerfull. Settings are as standard, not going to play with these untill I have had a chat with the guys at TTS and have their advice. They offered to fit & Dyno the bike but Silverstone is a long way from Preston! It's obviously running a lot richer judging by the colour of the exhaust.

Look forward to anyone posting their settings.

Off out for a birthday beer now, cheers, Rick.

How much ???

Hi Rick , how much did TTS want to fit and dyno your bike with the gizmo ?

Ian

PS is it worth the dosh ?

Techlusion R259 Fitting

Hi Ian,

Can't remember the exact price for fitting/Dyno but think it was about £40. Didn't think it was too expensive to have the whole lot done & set up but it was a distance thing which stopped me.

Worth buying it? Too right!! Seems like a completely different bike now - even sounds better!

Talking to TTS & reading other posts regarding performance upgrades, it seems that the standard GS runs very lean and most performance bolt-on's such as exhausts, filters etc make matters considerably worse; they let the engine breathe better without the fueling changing to compensate for this.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Rick.

RickA, Yep - came to the same conclusion. They run borderline weak from new, any upgrades to breathing, exhausts inlet etc send them over the edge and they run weak. Mine is running like a bird with the Techlusion gizmo, infact never has it run so good.

Panzer is one happy chappy :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just fitted the R-259 to my 03 Adventure. Took my time fitting but as my bike doesn't have the ABS module there was plenty of room to tie up cables and 02 sensor connectors.

The bike is definately more responsive although I feel that I should make some adjustments to the base settings. I'm a little concerned about messing things up though. I currently have a Remus Y-piece and Remus Revolution (with baffle), so if anyone has these already, let me know what settings you've settled on.

Simon
