taking a test ride on saturday, what do i look for?

thanks peter:beer:

Assuming you are testing a R1150GS, make sure you have the seat on the right height setting before setting out. Otherwise you will get completely the wrong impression of the bike's comfort.

Blind Gits in Volvos
Diesel on roundabouts
And the ladder on the left hand side , so you can climb aboard !!!!
And put in earplugs, then you don't worry about the noises !!

open your mind, see beyond, look for all that is not there!!
Seriously, keep an open mind. I have just recently bought a GS, and it has been an interesting time. Never has it taken so long to adjust to a different bike. However, perseverence works, and that applies as much to a test ride as to ownership.

Enjoy:D :D :D

The Brakes! Try to have a gentle lap around a car park first.
The Indicator Switches:rolleyes:
When you rev the bike at a standstill it'll pull over to the right.

But none of those things will stop you getting a big shit eating grin :D and you won't want to take it back:cool:

Look For

When the salesman starts it for the first time, it sounds and shakes like a tractor!! don't worry you will get to love it!

its a 1100 dont know if it makes a difference,i will just keep a open mind,i cant wait!

thanks everyone

At this point the salesman will most likey say....."They all do that sir".

Now remember those emortal word coz if you buy a GS you will hear them many times again and again.

Blind Gits in Volvos

Oi hang on a minute....I drive a Volvo. To be honest I would not drive any other car.
My wife and two kids were involved in a serious accident just over 18 months ago, a knobhead in a Vito van tried to overtake them just as she was turning right.
The van, who was exceeding the speed limit x 2, ripped all the way down the right hand side of the car just as she turned right. the rear door was badly damaged, the front door even more so and finally the wing was ripped off together with the complete front off-side wheel assembly including drive the shaft!
the subframe was pushed over to one side, needless to say the car was written off!
The policeman at the scene said that if they would have been in anything else lesser built than a Volvo then someone "could" have been seriously injured.

There you go then, its a Volvo for me everytime.....anyway must go.....now wheres me glasses and flat cap? :D

Biggest twats !

I beg to differ, biggest danger to life on the road, The Vauxhall Nova + spotty git !

Excellent cars Volvos V70s, any one want a set of X bars for one!!,
honestly the best car I have ever owned, mind you every biker says "A BMW, won't be seen dead on One " until you rub his GSX*** into the dirt on the next set of twisties.

Happy New Year

Gary.
