Mate took new GS Water-cooled down the Strines in Derbyshire, those of you who know this road will know the surface is less than perfect, and its chucks everything at you and the bike that a good road can and a lot more. Mates no slouch when it comes to riding, so he was not hanging about, bike behaved fantastically, absolutely no problems, only complaint as it made him want to go faster still.

Roll on the weekend when I can put more miles on mine, as took delivery yesterday and managed to take long way home and put 50 miles on, what a brilliant bike!!!!!!!!!!! Handles like a dream, what an engine, well done BMW.

Very glad you enjoyed the ride home and are happy so far - I was in Rainbow as you collected the new machine and sensed the building excitement. I tested their white demo GS LC the other Saturday and was very impressed, taking it into Lincs through Oldcotes & Blythe for those who know those roads: typical of the awful road surfaces around Sheffield, but once in Soft mode, the GS just soaked up all the bumps with no instability issues whatsoever. The increase in power and torque are very noticeable as many others have written. An excellent new bike - can't wait for my Racing Red TE - it's in Rainbow, due for collection on Friday when the next dump of snow is due....
