TFT Phone Favourites

Has anyone found the answer to this?

Don't you have to set the favourites on you phone first ?
Tried every option in the app, can't see anything option for phone or phone book. I do have favourites set in my phone but these haven't been picked up by the TFT.
Would love to know if anyone else has figured this out.

You do have to wait a while for it all to sync up. Does all your recent call list show from the phone ?
Yeah, recent calls works fine, just the Favourites is constantly greyed out and can't seemingly be accessed. Absolute nightmare because the phone book doesn't let you filter by first name or skip sections like A-B-C etc like most car infotainments.
My lame fix was to quickly dial and hang up (before anything rang) two or three people I might want to call which weren't on my recent call history - which is a feature that works perfectly.

Never found a fix and have a couple of numbers set as favourites, including the main reason I wanted it working for opening the gates...nothing like sweeping straight in have dialled them half a mile up the road. recents all work.

I gave up, Nav 6 for the phone and directions etc., TFT I use as a big speedo.
I'm going to ask the dealer to demo it to me / set it up when I go for my running in service in a few weeks.

There are no favourites, we are all equal. Hence why it is not black or white, but grey 
I wonder if the favourites are not a physical place that you have to set on your phone? Android has such a feature in the contacts menu to search for a business or place. Or you have to create a favourite group in your contacts by assigning a contact as a favourite eg. friend and favourite ticked under their entry in the contacts list.
