Just been cleaning the bike and noticed the TFT had a few marks that looked like water marks but took some effort to remove so I’m looking at screen protectors. I saw some on amazon but the reviews said they made the screen quite dull and the blacks had a reddish tone etc...The R and G ones are the dearest but are they worth the price? Has anyone used them and what are they like? There’s lots of cheap Chinese ones which may be as good.

Yep Speedo angels is the way to a clear dash

TV screen cleaner works - buy at PC World

Speedo Angels +2 and iirc quote TMF for a discount I got 3 in my pack too and still on the first one The fit is really good (for my MT07 anyway)

TFT Screen Protectors. Are they needed?

Considering the Speedo Angels for the TFT. I have not noticed any glare, and heard that the anti glare ones have an odd tint/shading.
So, homing in on the clear Nano Glass, just for protection.
Any thoughts?

Next, does the protector itself get scratched much more easily than the TFT, and how easy is it to remove them for replacement purposes.

I don't have an issue with the unprotected screen getting marked by drying water - I just do as per the manual. It's the scratching that concerns me
Has anyone found that their screen does actually get scratched?
And, does the clear protector take away that lovely vivid display?

I've only had the bike a week, and it is going in for the first service, so want to start off on a good footing with the expensive TFT display.

Thanks.

Installed an anti glare Speed Angels from virtually new and its spot on.

Yes it’s matt, bit the screen is still nice and lively.

Easy to apply and removal will be the same.

Thanks for the reply.
I like to be able to undo the "improvements" I make if they don't work out!

Do you think yours will stay scratch free for long? Any sign of scores?
Not a deal breaker, more curiosity.

I've watched the you tube videos, but can you give me any pointers in the installation please.
Did you put it on dry, or wet with soap solution

I’ve only covered 2,000 miles, but not a blemish and to be fair, I’m not too fussed if I get them, as I’ll throw it away and get a new one - as long as my TFT screen stays as new I’m happy.

The one I installed has an adhesive application, so it is a dry process. Just line it up and stick it on. As the screen is a slightly odd shape with its cut off corners, it’s easy to get it spot on. There’s a gap all around the perimeter of a couple of mm, again simplifying the install.

Thanks. All good points.
I think I will just view the protector as a consumable, to be replaced when they have done their job!
