Hi Guys,
this was the second trip I did in Thailand in dec.07. THis time I was working (driving the support vehicle) Was just a 6 days trip from Phuket to Ko- Samui and back, via Krabi . I´ve been to Thailand in several occations before already mainly for diving and you can just fly and rent a bike anywhere for little money, fuel is just couple pences worth and ride around on your own with a map or GPS. If you fly to Phuket, you must visit Ko Lanta (both of them northern and south island) , Krabi and Ko Samui is great too , all within a day riding from each other. Here are some picks:
monkey temple
cave temple
budha tree

Krabi: Lovely hotel: Peace Laguna Resort!!
picks from the ferry Donsak - Ko Samui (direct ferry) 1,5 hour crossing, you can have a feet massage on board so long.
fight buffalo having an evening swim in the see on the beach in front of the hotel
Ko Samui is a terribly romantic place
one more temple
another view of the island.Don´t miss the Red Snapper restaurant (great food, very stylish) if on the island at Chaweng Beach, the ladyboy show is just couple meters down the road from there, sorry boys, didn´t take the camera to the travestite show
Samui butterfly garden at Natien Beach
where´s the butterfly gone????
enough butterflies now, lets see some action!!
there suppose to be a road over the top of the island
saddenly you can´t cross, an older man on a scooter came past and told us, the road ends in the jungle couple km´s further down so we had to turn around.
yet another view from the top of Ko Samui
nice hotel though :The Imperial Samui
A I SAD BEFORE, TERRIBLY ROMANTIC
Ferry back to Donsak
on the road again through the Phang Nga national park
local traffic
and that was it for today
Still missing Tom Yam Gung soup !!!!
