Hi guys,

Me and my friends were riding our motorbikes from bangkok up to the north part in Thailand. I would like to share the photos and experiences. I am originally from Thailand and now doing Msc degree in London here. So after you have a look at photos could you please do me a survey, it was specially for GS riders anyway thanks in advance.

Hi Blackjadak

Looking to organise a trip to Thailand in 2014 for 4-6 of us, probably fly to Bangkok, hire bikes and a car (support vehicle for the wives to follow).

Any advice on where to hire bikes, not sure we want GS's, maybe XR400's and route would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Danny

Hey, R200GSA,

That's sound pretty good to me and at that time i would probably be in Thailand as well. However, the trip that you want might depend on the duration that you are going to stay over there. I trip I am going to suggest you, usually take 4-5 days with approximately 100-150 km each day.

I would suggest you to hire the bikes and car in Chiang Mai, it is located in the north of Thailand, also there is the airport that you could land on. After you hire bikes and get everything sought out, ride them up north to Chiang Rai and stop a night at Phu Chee Fah then move down to Chiang Khong and try to get to Bo Klua salt well in Nan. You might wanna spend a night there.
The next morning you could ride it from there to Lampang via Ngao town. Finally back to Chiang Mai on the lastday from Lampang via Lamphun.

To conclude, its gonna be Chiang mai-Chiang rai-Phu Chee Fah-Chiang Khong- Bo Klua(Nan)-Ngao-Lampang-Lamphun-Chiang Mai.

The reason I suggested these routes as you would experience the best view along when you ride yours bikes as well as it is quite challenge for GSers as well

Hope this would help :) and you may add my facebook to contact me anytime
