Hi
Well have finally got bike back together after stripping it down in December for clutch renewal along with other bits and bobs. All i have to do now is wheel it round to bike shop so they can pressure bleed the brakes for me, which is via a subway that is still pretty icy,so i will have to wait before i can do a road test.
I only have 2 bits over which i thought wasn't too bad.A plastic washer and rubber grommet thing. They do look familiar but can't quite place them.
Also the wire behind the fuse box facing the rear of bike.Don't remember unplugging that one ! Pics below !Any ideas !
I would like to thank everybody who has helped me out with queries and such like.
This website in particular has been very useful with all the advice on extras that are available on here or where to get hold of them.I now have the GSer GS :D
The oil cooler grill, the hawker battery, fastaway footpegs, braided brake hose,Magnum horn(is it me or does it sound like a 'clowns car' horn ?) and with the lights being fitted by BTBR next week i shall be a proper Mod.Joking aside items such as the latter two could be a life saver !It will lesser the chance of another motorist having to say 'I DIDN'T SEE HIM !'

Thanks again !

Black plug looks like it's from the petrol tank, where the securing bolt goes through - two plastic plugs each side

not sure otherone ,

Yeah i thought that too but it's too small for that, which is hard to tell from the pic i know.Whilst we are on the fuel tank, there are only two bits that go in that bracket, two rubber washer grommet things am i right ?

put something in the picture so we can see the scale of size

Yep - part No 8 below (part 7(s)are metal). The connection you are referring to might be a redundant one which (I believe) serves some function on US models which have a charcoal canister on the rear RHS of the subframe. A picture would hel confirm this...

Actually, on reflection, the white spacer looks like part of the mounting hardware for an aftermarket tax disc holder I've got fitted...

Mike:confused:

from the picture, it looks like a front wheel spindle spacer :D :D

Oh NO, that black plastic part and the metal bit fit behind the clutch plate and are essential for the operation of the clutch.
Im afraid you will have to strip it down again to fit them

I don't mind the stripping down part,it's the putting back together bit !
