Joined this site just over a year ago and have just renewed because the £12 is excellent value. My first visit cost me a good wedge and a round trip to Kent where a GSer called Geezer handed over a yellow 1150GS with a stack of tasty goodies. Thanks Geezer: I haven't stopped having fun since!
The bike has been almost faultless through 1500 dry miles and 5500 wet ones. The best ride was a trip to the Orkneys on a fund raiser for our local hospice (£15000!) and the best day of that it pissed with rain. I've binned it once coming back from the BSB meeting at Oulton Park - didn't quite save the high side coming off a roundabout. New near-side rocker cover but otherwise minimal damage.
Never mind Boreman and McGreggor - we are doing The Short Way Across, (Ireland, that is), starting in Rosslaire, round the south coast, up the west to meet up with the North West 200 road race in Ulster before coming down the east coast back to Rosslaire. Its another hospice fundraiser and we shall be supporting Northern Ireland Hospice Care which is the official charity of the NW200 this year. There is room for another bike or two if any one is interested in making use of the paddock passes we have! Leaving Hereford 10th May and back on the 19th.
That's my duck broken! Maybe it will be less than a year till my next post!
