To all those brave blokes who go on adventures on their Adventures.

How much are those plug thingies that you can get to allow the use of low octane fuel?

Do you order them from your local Dealer?

Are they easy to fit, (or remove)?

Do you really need one for Morocco/North Africa?

Probably not, but if you've got one, take it.

Beware, wot they say on the pumps is not necessarily wot you get in your tank! At least one gas staion in Fez dispenses leaded petrol from a pump marked sans plombe!

I seem to remember Roy (Blue Sweeper) saying his ran better in Morocco when he put the chip/plug in, after we had some of Morocco's finest sans plomb :D

Also seem to remember the plug cost is actually quite reasonable.

IS THE PLUG FOR USE ON A BIKE WITH THE CAT INSTALLED??? I THINK NOT.

If I remember correctly, the plug thingy was about £5 and is very easy to fit. It also does work if you take on crap fuel.
