that y piece thingy ???

confused: I'm thinking of fitting a y piece to an 03 1150gsa??? does it go straight on/ are there any mods req?/and the oxy sensor will it have to be disconnected or can you just twist the wire as it is unscrewd from the cat. i have heard that some gs owners have suffered holed pistons?

Bolts on/off, so long as you can undo the bolts still! May help to loosen the downpipes at the head, may not need to - I didn't.

No need to take sensor wiring off - unsecrew, count the turns, twist up again, then re-fit.

Run mine for a good few thou so far - plugs etc all fine, so seems OK. Did ask question before I fitted re probs - noone came up with any. Shouldn't be a problem - sensors still there, everything else still the same, all you have actually done is take out the cat and some weight.

Oh yes - forgot - if you don't have a helping hand, make sure you have somthing under the cat to support it when you loosen everying before you get at the sensor - it's not especially light....
