The aftermath of Timpo's assault course

As always with a great days trail ride, there should be a sting in the tail.
Todays sting was going upHeartbreak Hill.

Eddy and I didn't complete it, although Loz and Timpo clain they did:augie

That's just about all the photos I had time to take and didn't include the tough bits where it's just too hectic to get the camera out:eek

But as we were in Wales Timpo showed Loz how to release a sheeps trapped head from a fence...at least that's what they said they were doing;) ;)

Well done Chaps for completing the day...well almost!
Let's look at the scores after the floors:-

Heartbreak Hill 0 Loz 1 :clap
Heartbreak Hill 0 Timpo 1 :clap
Heartbreak Hill 1 Timolgra 0 :thedummy
Heartbreak Hill 1 Hew 0 :thedummy

I'm sore as hell today.
Some great pictures there Tim, they really depict what the no-shows have missed.:blast
The ford nearly caught me out..........but only nearly.:augie
Again the lanes are green, plenty of rain recently has helped. It's a shame more people don't venture out this way, this would help to keep the routes a little clearer.

As for the DRZ, it lives for another day, some small jobs are required, that will keep me out of the pub for a couple of evenings this week.

Right, who and where next?:nenau

Timpo.

and a fond farewell to a grateful sheep:thumb

But it does highlight that to appreciate and maybe keep what lanes we have, a regard to the flora and fauna your passing through not only enhances your day but may demonstate to the anti-trail riding brigade, we're not all bad:rolleyes:

A flippin excellent days trail riding with great company, thanks Timpo, Eddy and Loz.
Those who backed out for whatever reason missed a really special day.

Great pictures Tim and I echo your thought on an excellent days trail riding and company.
The variety and quality of lanes served up was outstanding from loose rocky climbs, deep bogs and my personal favourite the enclosed green lanes. That was really weird to start with riding more or less blind through a sea of green.
Even the late failure on Heartbreak Hill could not take the shine off the day.
I know I've got it licked now. It's how to get the cement mixer up there to build a ramp over the root step I've got to figure out.
Thanks Timpo:thumb2

thanks for a great day chaps, that was the first time i've rode down a hedgerow on purpose:eek:

It was a good job we didn't ride down the real narrow lanes Loz.:augie
I'm glad you Chaps enjoyed it, we did cover some decent distance thanks to the fuel being available.
I was thinking last night of which lanes we could of added to the ride if we had more time, Sweeney Mountain and the Vee Gulley came to mind, it may be a god-send that we ran out of time instead of fuel....
There's always next time....:green gri

Timpo.

Looks cracking day out guys.

When my collar bone is fixed i'll get my name down for a rideout if its ok.

Some of the lanes were impassable even for this ride...phew

Been out today in the Land Rover, and this lane has now been cleared and had the gate sorted at the top end. Thanks Hew for turning up to help.
We will be riding it on the next Llangollen to Vyrnwy trail ride.:clap
I will post up some details soon. Got a drowned KTM950 to repair first.:augie
