Afternoon all,

So via that eBay, I have acquired a 2nd-hand BMW tank bag for my R1150GS. I can see that it fits by means of the tags front and rear that are zipped to the bag and that clip over the tank flanges. Is there any other fixing required?

Cheers

M

No, that's it - permanently fix one half of the zipped bit to the rear of the tank so it sticks out under the nose of the seat - you zip the tank bag on and hook the clips over the front of the tank - and that's it.

If you got the weatherproof cover with it, make sure you roll the whole thing down over the shaft of your penis . . .sorry, bag. Otherwise at over 50mph you'll have a re-enactment of the Inflatable Autopilot scene from 'Airplane'.

Just some heavy duty velcro bits that stick to the back of the tank (near your nuts). This holds the zipped bit in place and lets you leave it on the bike when the bag is removed. You can get them as a replacement part from a dealer for about £3
