As you probably know I was after a set of Wunderlich foot flaps and I even considered Nippy Normans wally flaps. I priced the Wunderlichs with SPC and was quoted £52.75 even though they are advertised on their website at £47.25. I asked what it would take for postage and packing and was quoted .....wait for it....£22.50. I politely told the gentleman on the other end of the phone that this was far too expensive and I did not like being ripped off and therefore I refused to order them. I know there is a stretch of water between GB and N. Ireland but these people are taking the p..s. I noticed that THE CIVIL ONE was selling flaps on the net and decided to investigate the matter further. They are £35 delivered and I have them fitted to the bike. One word describes the quality of the flaps and ease of fitting...EXCELLENT. Now here is the question. Do you buy from SPC and pay a total of £75.25 or pay £35 form Mr Civil. A big thank you to THE CIVIL ONE and I hope any other members out there will make the right decision if looking for a pair. Thats all for now. Ricky.:beerjug:

Tuned...don,t knock them until you have tried them. I am trying to be constructive and helpful to other site members. That includes you.:D

i'm not trying to knock Civil or his product.

i'm making fun of the fact that on most of Civils posts when he's sellin' something
he gets stick for his prices or something else.

and for a change someone has a good word to say.

I was trying to be humorous :( failed then.

if i was buying flaps i would definitely consider civils for the price saving alone.

But since I think flaps is for girls (meant to be humour in there somewhere)
I’ll not be buying a set
:D

Sounds like SPC are taking the mickey with that price. I've got a pair of Wunderlicj feet flaps and they were under £40. Have a word with your friendly dealer and see if they can help.

Nothing against Civils flaps (oo-er!) but mine look better than his :D

OK, who is the civil one? does he have an address/website. Any photos avalable,[not that I have the brain to post photos myself!]

Any photos fitted?

I'm having trouble trying to picture what Civils flaps look like fitted to a bike, anybody got any piccies?

(there's bound to be a double entendre in there somewhere!)

I purchased Civil's Stanton Guards. I'd do business again with him anytime.
Prices? Everything is relative, and I for one will pay for quality and service, rather than go for the cheap and cheerful.
