The English Riviera and Dartmoor twisties

The 12 G/S was a joy to ride early doors on a 100mile circuit of the English Riviera and the Dartmoor twisties. The Dartmoor section from Ashburton->Two Bridges->Moretonhampstead->Ide is fantastic. On a clear run, it's a great route with plenty of places to stop. Specifically the Warren House Inn on the B3212 near Postbridge.

I spent many a happy holiday as a kid down that neck of the woods....mid 70s. Dads favourite place being Brixham, when it was a proper fishing village with few tourists (like us)...he'd long since died when a delve into family history uncovered our Devon background going back to the 1500s....

I find that my riding style has changed having moved from a 1250GSA to a 12G/S. The latter is built for Dartmoor's 40mph limit, sunny day, relaxed, open road, sunglasses and open face helmet. It reminds me of a phrase about riding; "in a car you watch the scenery go by while, on a bike you're in the scenery'.

I was only pulling your leg
I was born in Newton Abbot and grew up there, so know the area well - used to ride Trials on Dartmoor from about 12-13 years old
Cracking scenery (albeit the reduced limit is tiresome)
Love Devon’s coast

There are a couple of nice alternative roads in that route, Ide to Chudleigh passing by Dunchideock or Kennford to Kenton to Starcross and head back west to A380. Im sure you'll explore it all in good time.

Well, hopefully not literally IN the scenery!
