In over 40 bikes illuminated by BTBR mine was the first to have a problem.

It turned out that it was too dirty and as a result had an intermittent earth.

Being electrically illiterate I texted BTBR who got back to me almost instantly and talked me through all the various possiblities. The first one he suggested was cleaning my bike :) (or at least the earth bolt), which I did and everything is 100% fine.

I always believe that you really find out how good service is when things go wrong and the service was top rate. BTBR really stands behind his work. he was more concerned about it than I was!

It's also not his fault that my bike was dirty.

So, thanks again (and again) for unbeatable service.

Mine I think had the second problem of the 40-odd bikes BTBR had illuminated.

According to BTBR's calculations my new PIAA's should have been drawing 9 amps so he used a 10 amp fuse. The fuse kept popping as soon as we switched the lights on. We checked in the PIAA box and saw that on the PIAA stock harness they used a 20 amp fuse. Not happy with that BTBR meticulously tested every single component which took nearly an hour until he found the problem! I am still using the 10 amp fuse and it's been fine.

A lesser person would just have reverted to using a bigger fuse. After all, the stock harness used a bigger fuse. Not BTBR, he knew it should only draw 9 amps combined and wasn't happy till we used a 10 amp fuse. Not only that, he also supplied me with spare 10 and 15 amp fuses just in case.

Incredible guy, incredible workmanship and hospitality.

:o :o :o :o :o Sadly and it was with great regret, but it had it happen in the end did'nt it

:( I can no longer boast that I have never had a problem now can I......:tears

Still, as long as I only fit lights to 'clean' bikes it should never happen again, ah Fil....... ;)

As for your bike sn1p3R, well that really had me confused for a while.
