Yesterday I completed a six hour trial high up in mid Wales with the Aqueduct Classic Club. I cannot remember ever being so knackered at the end of a days riding.

It was a charity event with 125 entries to raise funds for Christies Cancer hospital with 36 sections, all needing to be walked before attempting to ride them which partly explains how tiring it was.

My lady rode around the forestry tracks on her TTR250 to watch and take a few photos, we set of in pairs at intervals to the first of 3 loops and somehow I led off being number one.......I like to think that was a disadvantage with the rocks still being slippy in streams etc. although that's only #374(b) in my list of lame excuses for a mediocre result:D

Lots of rocky stream sections, although there's no photos of the really difficult big rock steps....one of which I hit hard and flew over the flippin handle bars:D

This is Paul Owen, fresh back from his 13th place at the TT:bow...riding Bessie, a 1949 rigid frame Bantam, front wheel bearing gone, no brakes and clutch falling apart:D

This gorgeous Triumph was 5TA but sleeved down to 400cc with 2 Tiger Cub pistons, the bike sounded like a sewing machine without even the mearest hint of a rattle. The riders having his card punched with his score at the end of a section.

Being first away meant I finished well over an hour befor the last riders which gave me time to lie in the sunshine with my dog as a welcome pillow:)

Yes, Father's Day is one of our family gatherings, only to be missed on pain of death!
Looks like I missed a cracking trial, but on a brighter note, I did manage to retain the "Father's Day Croquet Tournament" trophy for another year. :thumb

Every now and then one looks and does not see.

Just looked and saw that you had a hard, but seemingly fun trial.

Thanks for posting.
