A wilderness area seen only by a handfull of people.The Simpson Desert is a series of sandhills that can be hundreds of km in length, running roughly north to south.
Spaced at around half a km apart with a spinefex valley between the the sand hills rise to around 25 to 30meter. The top of the sand hill is the “live” section,very soft and smooth and requiring keen speed driving techniques to land a prop on the top.The descent once on top can be close to vertical.
