Has anyone got a link to some pictures of the 3 new 650s due out this autumn?
Lighter & more powerfull I`m led to believe.

Well my informant was`nt wrong..... although he usually is.

I dont know if 2 hp increase is much to get excited about although I could get worked up about the weight loss.

So which would you choose?

Than Honda looks interesting I'm assuming thats a VTR engine in there...say what you like but it should be good

Should?

That was only a photo-shop dream unfortunately :(

Specifications / Options???

Has anyone seen the specifications and accessories/options lists for the new 'G' series yet? Most of the information appears to be on www.moto-station.com but as I only speak Australian and English, and don't have access to my own PC at the moment (which translates via Google), I can't read the French.

YOO

A brief translation from the Moto Station site:

On the base of the HP2 they've made the Megamoto, dry weight under 200kg, more powerfull than the HP2. Springs are made shorter, strictly for road-use, at the front there's a 45mm upside-down Marsochi, at the rear there's a mono Öhlins damper, front and rear are completely adjustable.
The Air rear damper from the HP2 is not present.
The bike has a revcounter, and a second front brakedisc.
The tankcover and headlightcover are both made from carbonfiber.
Exhaust comes from Akrapovic (hmmm, sounds promissing), and the engine should be stronger in middle and high revs.

Hope this is a bit helpfull.

Grtz, Philip!

WTF!. Seat height - 940!,900! or 840-870.I might just be able to touch the ground with the Xmoto version but I think I can forget the other two.

is it me or are the new 650's f-ugly? I mean where has the original styling of the F series gone? And a scrambler WTF?!?!

Of course I am a bit set in my ways...but still....

i had a good sit on and feel of them all at intermot, and the scrambler was my favourite, at least it,s got a proper seat, unlike the other two ,the hard enduro has the typical enduro razor thin seat , and the front plastics look and feel very vulnerable to crash damage and the seat on the supermoto, aint that much better. the one thing that really struck me about all three was just how very light they all felt. certainly felt a LOT LIGHTER than my old 650 dakar .
i just want the scrambler with a decent sized tank , it,s tiny !!
oh and the big dissapointment of the show was the failure of the confirmed F800GS  i guess that bmw just wanted ALL THE ATTENTION to be on the new g650,s . maybe we will see it at the NEC or milan .
but this ones my favourite. :thumb

comparing that BMW badged Aprilia with this one I would know what to choose, but I am not in the market for any of these................
it is not so much the looks but the technical data................

still waiting for something similar to the Ducati retros, CCM's Flattrackers or Triumph's Scramblers (sentimental old git I am)
170 kg dry, 70 odd horsepower, Oehlins suspension, technology I can understand and service, and, please, instead of the red tank one in brushed aluminium

New 650's

Personally I think they are ugly. Seat heights are too high. Time will tell if BMW has got it right. I wonder if people choose any of these bikes to go round the world with. I hope the 800GS doesn't look like any of these three.
