Big ugly fecker hey.. Makes an RT look pretty... And weighing in at 300kg.. That engine better be good, otherwise what's it got going for it...

I like it. There are elements from the RT, Pan & GTR14 in there, all wrapped up in a Triumph package. No way I could afford one but it looks quite sprightly to me :thumb2

I like it too, just not in the market for that style of ride.

As the engine is the one from the Explorer with a higher 6th gear (and possibly a slightly different tune) it should pull really well.

This bike (and many others) is precisely why I ride 'old nails' :thumb2

Still, I'm sure it'll prove popular with a 'certain demographic' :augie

I'm sure that MCN, in there usual unblinkered objective manner, will be declaring it the best touring bike on the planet after they've ridden it all of 20 miles:augie

Triumph seem to make some brilliant BMW copies at the moment.......did their head of design only have the budget for a Xerox machine :nenau

Thats an RT fer christs sake

Front end looks much more like a Pan, the dashboard looks like the GTR, & there's bits of RT in there too. So more a case of taking elements from the current popular tourers to make it familiar to a wider group of potential customers. Sounds a good idea to me :nenau

Or they could try and tempt buyers with something distinctly Triumph ?

Take the badges off a Duc' and you'd know it was one, same with a BMW or something like a KTM....take the badges of that and what would people say it was ..deffo not a Honda, not cohesive enough or built well enough, but they'd more likely guess it was a Beemer than a Triumph for sure.

All that lard and a mind blowing 31l capacity per pannier! No doubt a stupid internal shape too where no regular bottles or packs of stuff you're likely to buy will fit in.
There must have been a few laughs at Honda and BMW when that was announced.
Handlebar attachment makes sense from a 'force' point of view. Not.

Maybe the fact the customer will be buying it in a Triumph dealership might give them a clue ;)
